FLORA
The vegetation of the Lebyazhyi Islands:
  • 50 species of annual herbaceous plants,
  • 30 species of perennial herbaceous plants,
  • 4 species of dwarf semi-shrubs.
The eight primary plant associations are formed by Phragmites australis, Artemisia taurica, Artemisia santonica, Crambe pontica, Atriplex tatarica, Puccinellia gigantea and Elytrigia elongata.

In total, the flora of the islands is made up of 84 Embryophyta species of 27 families.
The bay floor

The bay floor is covered with submerged vegetation.

It includes 7 species of flowering plants and algae:

  • 2 charophyta species,
  • 25 species of green algae,
  • 42 species of red algae.

Shallow waters of the Nature Reserve are dominated by flowering plant communities: Zostera, Ruppia, Zannichellia, Potamogeton and Najas.
